Hello to all

We are busy at The Birth House welcoming the new year and new babies. The slow, but steady return of sunlight is helping stoke our fires during these ever changing winter days. We are in transition here at The Birth House as our beloved intern Kate moves on to the next phase in her midwifery journey and we welcome our new intern Hannah.

Transitions can be challenging – be it in birth or the many we go through in our life. Nevertheless it is the nature of our lives as human beings – continually changing, growing, and along the way carving out deeper spaces within ourselves, revealing gems we didn’t know we held inside, which we then offer back to our community.

What transitions and transformation have you encountered?  Do you have a pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding or parenting story you would like to share? Pictures, poems, haikus, anonymous or not are all welcome. Send stories by email to midwiferyintern@gmail.com or by mail to The Birth House, 28 South High Street, Bridgton, ME 04009.
